Prolutex 25 mg (7 Vials)
Prolutex 25 mg is water-based progesterone for subcutaneous injection, made by IBSA and supplied as 7 single-dose vials. It gives the same luteal support as progesterone in oil, but with a short thin needle under the skin instead of a deep intramuscular shot. Fast IVF sources it from a licensed European supplier.
What Is Prolutex Used For?
Prolutex supports the uterine lining after embryo transfer and through early pregnancy, the same role that progesterone in oil plays in most IVF protocols. Clinics often prescribe it for patients who cannot tolerate oil injections, who have had lumps or allergic reactions to the oil carrier, or who simply want to inject themselves without help.
How Is It Given?
Each vial contains 25 mg of progesterone in about 1.1 ml of solution. The usual dose is 25 mg once a day, injected under the skin of the belly or thigh with a standard subcutaneous needle, starting around the day of egg retrieval and continuing as your clinic directs. No oil means no warming, no deep muscle injection, and faster absorption. Rotate sites daily and keep the vials below 25°C (77°F), protected from light. Our injection instruction videos show the technique.
Prolutex vs Progesterone in Oil
Both forms give reliable progesterone levels. Prolutex is easier to self-inject and causes fewer sore knots, PIO is cheaper per day and needs only one shot. Fast IVF carries both, including Progestan 50 mg/ml ampoules and Progestan 200 mg capsules, so your whole luteal plan can ship in one box. See every option in our progesterone category.
